Recent news of the Google Toolbar hijacking 404 pages got me a bit curious. Are people still using toolbars until now? I guess the obvious answer is yes.
Obviously all these toolbar fanaticism is driven by only two things — ad money and spying data gathering.
So, what toolbars are installed in your browser and why are they in there?
- Google Toolbar
- Yahoo! Toolbar
- MSN Toolbar
- Ask Jeeves
- Alexa Toolbar
- DAP
- eBay
- Teoma
- Stumble Upon
- Netcraft
- ESPN Toolbar
- NBA Scoreboard
- Skype Toolbar
- ICQ
- Neopet
- Dictionary.com Toolbar
- MySpace
- Alta Vista
- WindowsLive
Oh, there’s tons of them on the list. I just notice I had the Google and Stumble Upon toolbar and yet I don’t use them.

some people are in denial… they say they don’t care about PR but they still have the little green bar on the browser…
@Abel,
I do not like a cluttered browser.
Amen to that.
Webdeveloper toolbar for my firefox
google toolbar only
i use google toolbar for searches and email, and yahoo toolbar for email too, both firefox versions. reminds of cnets worst download for 2007 - the kevin federline toolbar..hehe
I have Google Toolbar and Stumble Upon. Been using those two since it first came out, and use both regularly.
Other than that, I also have Yoono and the WebDeveloper toolbar.
This is for Firefox 2 btw. Waiting for these toolbars to be compatible with Firefox 3.
My screen is low enough as it is, but I do have stumbleupon and google, which gives me a translator, autolink and PR. I do have other toolbars on the options section.
Web developer toolbar is still the most productive toolbar for me.
I’m just using google toolbar.
