Acer Aspire One AO751 Unboxed

Finally got one of the new Acer Aspire One AO751. This 11.6″ netbook is already the size of most regular 12″ notebooks but with some glaring differences. Firth thing though — here are some unboxing photos to show how slim this new Aspire One is.

This Acer Aspire One AO751 only runs on an Intel Atom Z520 CPU which clocks at 1.33GHz. The labels on the box and on the sticker in the keyboard indicates that it’s WAN-ready but the 3G modem is nowhere to be found. Turns out this model doesn’t have it (the one with the 3G SIM card slot hasn’t arrived).

Int he succeeding photos, I paired the 11.6″ Aspire One AO751 with the 10.1″ D150. The former is slimmer.

Know what, this actually looks terrific. Is the screen a wash out like most acer screens?

I still look forward to buying a notebook (a netbook is also considered) that has a SIM card slot.

With Pine Trail, the next-gen Intel netbook platform, just around the corner, it feels like buying netbooks now isn’t such a great idea. Especially since Pine Trail finally promises to replace the power hungry chipset currently partnered with the Atom.

Awaiting Yuga’s full review on this one. Although some users say that this baby is quite slow than its predecessor both in xp and win 7 rc performance wise.

See my review of the AO751. I’ve been using it since June 13, and I’ve pretty much seen all the quirks and oddities of this netbook.

Just got mine for $378.00 from walmart ..Not bad for a light weight netbook . Im just tired of slinging around a fast but heavy and cumbersome 14″

My parents bought me the red one when it first came out. Sa Festival Mall in Alabang they got it for I think 23K which is 12-months to pay. Plus may promo pa sila na free Acer CD drive only for the color red. :)

This baby may not be a Macbook Air, but its functions and size are amazing. I can carry it around in my messenger bag and don’t notice that it’s there! It’s so slim and light, and it has an enormous memory! (160GB I believe.) It can certainly compete with big laptops that are so heavy to lug around and do not possess the same amount of disk space. My dad owns a GARGANTUAN Lenovo with a huge screen, and I can say that my itty bitty Acer Aspire One still gets my vote. :)
