Received an AMD Phenom X4 9950 for review last week which came with a Gigabyte motherboard and a huge ATI Radeon HD4870 X2 graphics card. I thought I’d build a gaming machine with this test unit and compare it with my own Intel Code 2 Quad X6600.

We’re seeing a lot of these lately. From Sony VGN-UX50 UMPC, OQO Model 02, Toshiba Utopia to the HTC Shift, Gigabyte will release one of its own - the Gigabyte M528 MID.
It’s the first 9-inch UMPC we’ve seen that sports a swivel touch screen panel (can be rotated 180°). It’s essentially a mini-table PC, a line of sub-notebooks that’s usually pretty expensive. Not this one.
