I’ve been on LinkedIn for several years now. It was already up and running way before the Web 2.0 era so it was ahead of its time, along with Plaxo.
Now, it looks like it’s doing a comeback and this time it fits into the picture quite perfectly — Friendster for Professionals.
So, it’s time to spread and promote my network thru the service. If you are on LinkedIn and wanted to connect with me and expand your network, please do add me at abe {at} ploghost {dot} com. Here’s a link to my public profile, a nice page to rank for your name in the SERPs.

I just created my account and added you as a contact.
Interesting.
Happy New Year, Abe!
I’m in too! mparaz@gmail.com. But, I only link to people I really know. (I’m not an open networker.)
Beware of recruiters bugging you through LinkedIn!
I have a linked in account too and am not an open networker. However, my linkedin page does not come out in a Google search for my name. hehehe.
yeah.. Guy Kawasaki mentioned that
i created my account there months ago
i’m there too. but not actively making my network grow. so not too familiar with it. hence, when i tried to add you, i discovered it’s not as easy to add friends like friendster…
here’s my public profile.

linkedin rocks!
Hi Abe. It is great to see you, Sacha Chua, and Guy Kawasaki actively promoting LinkedIn. I’ve been on it for quite sometime now and Guy’s post on how he’s using it inspired a lot of his readers to share how they use it too.
