After launching them last week with the top-tier device costing Php50K (£699), Sony seemed to realize this steep pricing and decided to slash off a good chunk from its announced price tag on their Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, and Xperia Z5 Premium.
From its original asking price of £599, the standard Xperia Z5 is now listed at Sony’s website at £549 (approx. Php39K), with the smaller Xperia Z5 Compact now at £429 (Php30K) from £549. Meanwhile, the high-end Xperia Z5 Premium has also been repriced to £629 (Php45K) from £699.
So for those who have been expecting these but got disappointed with its initial pricing, you can now maybe include one them back to your list.

@kaloyster I believe Z3+ and Z5 don’t have flaps anymore so no more problems there. Not sure how they addressed the earphones port issue
fail lang talaga yung aftersales service nila. got fed up so I returned to samsung.
yes hindi 100% waterproof. yung Z2 ko before pinalitan nila yung earphones port kasi after masubmerge sa tubig hindi na nadedetect yung earphones. Then yung flaps tend to loosen up. not sure if this was improved sa Z3 and Z5.
waterproofing is the best feature from Xperia family.
pero hindi siya 100% na waterproof, my times na ngfafail ang waterproofing niya.
the trick to that is, it was around the latter cost of 39k to begin with, no different from haggling in hte market, put a high enough price at first, then when things get dicey, then you bring it down to the price, you meant for it to start up with..
how is Sony’s reputation compared to Samsung in terms of build quality? Is it much better to justify the cost?
