Group Message History, a new feature on WhatsApp, makes it easier for new group members to view recent chats immediately. This improves comprehension of the discussion without requiring others to reiterate details.

With this update, group admins and members can share between 25 and 100 recent messages with new members. The end-to-end encryption of messages guarantees that their content remains private. Admins have the ability to disable the feature for their group, but they can still access message history whenever they require it. The group will receive notifications about history sharing, and the messages will display distinct labels indicating their connection to the distributed history.
This feature removes the need for screenshots or forwarding messages. WhatsApp has started rolling it out gradually across devices, and more users will receive it soon.
