Spotify AI Playlist feature launched in the Philippines

Spotify’s AI Playlist feature (in beta) has been launched, available to Premium subscribers in the Philippines. To put it simply, this is a new way to turn a user’s ideas or prompts into personalized playlists.

This feature was announced last year, but only in select markets. Since then, Premium users have used it to make millions of playlists as per Spotify. It worked well, helping people find music to fit any mood with ease.

AI Playlist is pretty straightforward to use as well. To start, just open your app and look for the feature. Users can select ideas from the app’s suggestions or just make your own.

For example, you can just type “workout music to grind to” or “gaming flow state” and it’ll generate a tracklist for you. Take note, the curated playlist will base its content on artists and genres the app thinks you’ll like. In other words, your Spotify algorithm should play a role in the selection.

You can also tweak your playlist by typing in things like “more upbeat” or “more new releases”. If you’re looking for more of a guide to make a playlist, Spotify suggests mixing up genres and moods.

You can get as creative as you can, referencing animals, activities, movie characters, colors, and emojis. But hey, what do you guys think of the new Spotify AI Playlist feature?
