AirAsia begins its Airvolution 2017 hackathon

AirAsia’s first-ever hackathon event, Airvolution 2017, just took off today with over 100 participants from different countries around the globe including the Philippines.

AirAsia wishes to push its digital airline status to the next level with fresh ideas to further improve its low-cost services.

The 3 challenges for the participants:

  • How do you profile AirAsia fans based on their digital social footprints to improve customer experience?
  • How do you reduce guests’ waiting times at the airport, from check-in to boarding?
  • How do you offer AirAsia guests the best flights and tours at lowest prices, as well as the best itineraries?

For 18 hours, participants will compete to impress 10 judges from AirAsia, C-ASEAN, and Line. Prizes at stake are RM25,000 (~Php283,000), 100,000 AirAsia BIG Points, and round-trip flights to any AirAsia destination.
