Samsung May Surprise Us with a Triple-Fold Phone at Unpacked

Listen to article

All signs point to a busy July 9 for Samsung fans. While we already expect the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 at Unpacked, fresh leaks from Setsuna Digital suggest a wild card: a triple-folding phone, sometimes called the “G Fold.”

This three-hinge handset, if real, would bring a 9.96-inch main screen and a 6.49-inch outer display. Rumors say it’ll skip stylus support and pack a titanium-and-aluminum frame, 16 GB of RAM, and a top Snapdragon chip. But don’t clear your calendars yet, you likely won’t be able to buy it until October, long after the Fold 7 and Flip 7 ship in August.

Leakers have already dropped renders of the Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, but the triple-fold has stayed hidden, either Samsung’s keeping it under wraps, or it’s only getting a sneak peek in July. If you’re craving foldable tech, this could be the boldest move yet, but expect steep prices and limited stock—only around 200,000 units may roll out first.

Of course, this is all chatter until Samsung confirms. The rumor mill goes hand in hand with Unpacked hype, so take these details with a pinch of salt. Whether you’re eyeing a Fold 7 for everyday use or just want to see what three hinges look like, July 9 should deliver plenty of surprises.
