"필리핀 시간"이라는 관념을 근절하기 위해 과학기술부(DOST)는 모든 필리핀인이 2014 년 1 월 1 일부터 공식 필리핀 표준시(PhST) 와 동기화되도록 시계 장치를 조정할 것을 촉구합니다.
이 이니셔티브는 2013 년 5 월 15 일 베니뇨 아키노 3 세 대통령이 서명한 공화법 제 10535 호인 필리핀 표준시법에 부합합니다.
Globe Telecoms 와 Smart Communication 은 이미 정부의 지각 방지 운동에 협력할 의사를 표명했으며, 오늘부터 시간을 동기화하기로 했다고 밝혔습니다.
비록 정부 (및 민간 부문) 의 이러한 노력에 감사하지만, 결국 늦을 경우 우리 자신과 다른 사람들의 시간이 낭비되므로 시간을 소중히 여기는 것은 우리 자신의 책임입니다. RA10535 법안이 하루아침에 모든 것을 바꿀 것이라고 생각하지는 않지만, 이는 좋은 시작점이라고 생각합니다.

Do we really need to have a law for such a trivial thing? I think so in order to force other Filipinos to do the right thing and get in sync with the real world instead of having their own “mini timezones”.
By the way, hindi lang Philippines ang gumawa ng batas na related with time. Ang America nga merong Uniform Time Act of 1966.

Also, do users really need to change the Windows time synchronization settings when almost all consumer Windows OS syncs to time.windows.com automatically? Time is fairly accurate with this default setting.
