Good news Zenfone fans! ASUS has finally unveiled the first release date of their upcoming Zenfone 3 smartphones and it’s just less than two weeks away.
All three of the Zenfone 3 family — Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Ultra, Zenfone 3 Deluxe — will be available to the public on July 12 in Taiwan. That’s the official release date according to Taiwanese website ePrice. While PH customers will have to wait until August for the local release as revealed by ASUS’ CEO, Jerry Shen.
Pricing of the Zenfone 3 starts at $249, while the more premium Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3 Deluxe is significantly pricier starting at $479 and $499 respectively. To understand the differences among the three new Zenfones, check out our comparison here.
Taiwan is the ASUS’ home turf and it’s understandable that they get first dibs of the much awaited Zenfone 3. Anyhow, August is not far July but for those who are already itching to have their hands on the new smartphone, expect online stores and grey market sellers to ship it earlier than the local official release.
