MediaTek has just announced its newest mid-range chipset, the Dimensity 7200.
This comes weeks after they revealed the Helio G36 as their latest entry-level processor and months after their more premium Dimensity 8200 and 9200 chipsets.

The Dimensity 7200 is based on the same second-generation TSMC 4nm process found in the Dimensity 9200.
Its octa-core CPU has two Arm Cortex-A715 cores with speeds up to 2.8GHz while also featuring six Cortex-A510.
They also built their own AI processing unit to maximize efficiency in AI tasks and AI fusion processing.

The Dimensity 7200 carries HyperEngine 5.0 technology for gaming to deliver AI-based Variable Rate Shading and optimization for both CPU and GPU.
For smooth gameplay, they also integrated an Arm Mali G610 GPU for fast response times and high frame rates.

For photos, it supports 200MP main cameras and can capture 4K HDR video while also being able to capture content from two cameras at FHD resolution.
The chip also comes with built-in motion-compensated noise reduction and AI camera enhancements.

For connections, it supports dual 5G SIM with up to 4.7Gbps downlink. It also has support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
Other features of the Dimensity 7200 include:
- Up to 6400Mbps memory frequency and UFS 3.1 for maximum storage.
- MediaTek MiraVision Display with HDR supports the latest standards including HDR10+, CUVA HDR and Dolby HDR.
- Up to Full HD+ and 144Hz for brilliant displays.
- AI SDR-to-HDR video playback for enhanced multimedia experiences.
- Bluetooth LE Audio technology and Dual-Link True Wireless Stereo Audio for wireless earbud support.
Mediatek says that the Dimensity 7200 will be available in smartphones by the first quarter of 2023. However, as of the moment, no smartphone brands have announced new phones that will carry the Dimesnity 7200.
