Camera

The five-megapixel rear camera of the My28S is okay although it produces somewhat off colors from reality, even on a bright sunny day. You can’t emphasize a single object, given the fixed-focus lens it has. Given these circumstances, it’s not a good nighttime choice either as it produces a lot of grain on times where light is not that present. Same goes for the 2MP front camera although it gets help from its dedicated flash. Here are some sample shots:
The my28S is capable of producing Full HD video with a lot of noticeable grain. Zooming in may also stretch your subject wider for a bit. Here’s a sample clip:
OS, UI, and Apps

Android Lollipop is the star of the show on the my28S. The installed OS is as vanilla as you can get, and it comes with a ton of preinstalled apps, mostly from Smart, such as Spinnr and iFlix, which are uninstallable, but can be disabled to save RAM space.
With that being said, you’re given 2.19GB of usable storage left for installing apps. You can add one or two games, but we’re sure you wouldn’t like the usual ‘system storage is running low’ message appear even when just taking photos and videos. It’s a good thing to always have a dedicated microSD card slot on these phones, anyway, so there’s no need to worry on multimedia file storage.
