New reports are in from Japanese news agency Nikkei about what to expect from the ‘iPhone 8‘. The new Apple mobile might feature an edge-to-edge 5.8-inch OLED panel. Although, the main display is limited to about 5.1 to 5.15 inches. The rest is reserved for a “function area” which will replace the home button.

The iPhone 8 will also feature a front-facing camera that captures 3D selfies and supports face recognition to unlock and verify identity since the fingerprint scanner will also go away along with the home button.

Apart from the iPhone 8, Apple is also reported to release a 4.7-inch Apple iPhone 7s and a 5.5-inch Apple iPhone 7s Plus. The two models will continue using LCD panels, reserving the advanced display tech to the 8.

With all these, we should also expect the new iPhone 8 to be more expensive than usual launch prices. Earlier rumors point to USD1000 or about Php50,000. We have a concept render last year that would give you a better idea.
