The Thinnest Winners: 7 Smartphones Under 6mm

We’re noticing a building trend lately when it comes to smartphones, not only they are becoming larger and more powerful, some of them are also getting thinner. While most brands nowadays are settling for under 7mm, some thought that it’s just not enough. So for this article we’re going to give the the thinnest smartphones to date, measuring at under 6mm.

Vivo X3S5.95mm

Vivo is not a newbie when it comes to thin smartphones. In 2014 they released the Vivo X3S which is the successor to the Vivo X3. It sports a 5-inch HD display, 13 megapixel camera, 1.7GHz Mediatek MT6592 cota-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 2,000mAh battery, and ran Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Vivo X35.75mm

As mentioned earlier, the Vivo X3 is the predecessor of the X3S, but in this case the X3 is thinner. This smartphone from 2013 features a 5-inch HD display, 8 megapixel camera, 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6589T quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 2,000mAh battery, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Umeox X65.6mm

Here’s a smartphone you might not have heard before. The Umeox X6 sports 4-inch OLED OGS nHD (640X360) display, 5 megapixel camera, 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6572 dual-core CPU, 512MB RAM, 1,200mAh battery, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Specs fail to impress but it is surely thin. As a bonus, it’s predecessor, the X5, also features the same thickness.

Gionee Elife S5.55.55mm

As expected, Gionee made it on the list starting with the Elife S5.5. It sports a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 13 megapixel camera, 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 CPU, 2,300mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Amigo 2.0 UI.

Gionee Elife S5.15.15mm

Not resting on its laurels, Gionee launched an even thinner smartphone, the Elife S5.1. It packs a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 8 megapixel camera, 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 2,050mAh battery, and Android 4.4 Kitkat with Amigo 2.0 UI.

Oppo R54.85mm

Dethroning the Elife S5.1 and breaking the 5mm barrier is the Oppo R5. It has a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display, 13 megapixel camera, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 2,000mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with ColorOS.

Vivo X5 Max 104.75mm

Dethroning every thin smartphone out there is the Vivo X5 Max. Thinner than the R5 by a mere 0.10mm, the X5 Max sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, 13 megapixel camera, 1.7GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 2,000mAh battery, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Funtouch 2.0 OS.

  2. MyPhone better rebrand them Vivo phones, they’re like the king of mid-tier chinaphones. Plus they have Wolfson DAC’s on their flagship phones.

  3. 2,000 mAh battery isn’t so bad.. as long as you don’t use the phone often. hahaha
    My Lenovo A536 also has 2,000 mAh.. can last me 2 days of less than moderate use..

  6. Have you checked on lenovo s90? It’s kinda thin, but im not sure specifically with regards the measurement.. :-)
