Amazon Prime Video is now offering lower subscriptions in the Philippines, from PHP 259 per month, down to PHP 149 per month.
This development aligns with other video streaming platforms which is either creating new affordable subscription tiers to sustain and gain subscribers and gain more revenue. A good example of this is how Netflix is building up the most affordable subscription plan with ads, HBO GO doing the other way around by raising the monthly costs from PHP 149 to PHP 199 per month, and Disney+ increasing their prices in the US from USD 7.99 to USD 10.99 per month.
Amazon Prime Video 633 houses this popular shows such as The Good Doctor, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Carnival Row, American Horror Story, The Boys, Invincible, The Legend of Vox Machina, The Terror, and The Expanse.
Amazon offers a FREE 7-DAY Trial for those that want to test out the service before committing to monthly subscriptions. The lowered subscription fee of PHP 149 is available only until December 2023, so users still have ample time to take advantage of it.
Amazon Prime Video accepts GCash and Maya
What do you get for P149 with Prime?
Does amazon accepts Gcash? Coz it would be very convenient for Filipino subscribers. I’m a subscriber of YouTube music and Google billed me thru Gcash every month.
They offered it at a low price but most of the movies/tv series on amazon prime you have to pay for it via rent/sale option. Netflix and HBO does not do this greediness. That’s why you cannot beat them Amazon.
Amazon Prime Video subscription is not the same as the storefront where they sell movies.
Amazon sells digital movies too whereas Netflix and HBO do not. Apple does this with Apple TV+ but also sell digital movies that are not part of your subscription. Youtube does this where Premium doesn’t let you view movies they sell on their storefront.
You comment doesn’t make any sense.
Does Amazon now accept Gcash/Paymaya ewallets or the virtual debit cards you can create from those apps? Because last time I tried to subscribe they didn’t allow these local payment options.
Even if Prime Video is much cheaper than the big N it’s no good if you need a credit card which over 97% of Filipinos don’t have.
They do accept local credit cards now. And apart from Prime Video, you also get Prime Gaming on top of it and they give out free games every month.
This month’s highlight is Starcraft Remastered. Next month, they’re giving away Assassin’s Creed Origins.
