Apple event teases new iPad release

Apple teases an event with netizens speculating an iPad launch on May 7th, mainly due to the emphasis on pencils.

The tech giant’s CEO Tim Cook added to this theory, saying ‘Pencil us in for May 7! ✏️ #AppleEvent’ via an X post. The Apple Pencil in the event invitation also suggests that iPads are the center of attention for the virtual gathering.

The company’s announcement is fueling anticipation for the launch of the latest model of the iPad Pro and iPad Air. In that regard, Apple has remained silent towards the specifics of the event itself.

Multiple reports also suggest that Apple’s international suppliers have upped the ante on iPad production, planning to launch around May. The upcoming versions of the iPads are noted to be Apple’s first significant revamping of the lineup since 2018.

This launch also comes amid a backdrop of an iPad sales decline. Apple offers a range of only five iPad models, consisting of the Pro, Air, Mini, and 9th and 10th gen iPads.

However, Apple is working against this by introducing new, innovative products. We can only expect that the company has some sort of surprise in store based on the lack of event details.
