Filipinos can now access a digital version of their TIN ID through the eGovPH app. The update was announced on April 28 on BIR Facebook page, giving users a new way to view their ID using their mobile phones.

To access the digital TIN ID, users need to follow these steps:
- Download the eGovPH app from Google Play or App Store
- Create an account and enter correct personal details
- Verify your identity using facial recognition
- Log in using your registered email or mobile number, OTP, and 6-digit MPIN
- Open the “Digital ID” section in the app
- View your BIR digital TIN ID
The BIR said the feature will only work if the user’s eGovPH profile matches their records. Users must also already have a digital TIN ID in the BIR system.
The agency worked with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to launch this feature. It builds on the Online Registration and Update System (ORUS), introduced in 2023, which allows users to apply for a TIN online and verify it through a QR code.
The BIR said the move aims to make services easier to access and help reduce illegal activities like fixers. With the digital version, users can now keep a copy of their TIN ID on their phone for easier use when needed.
