Disney has launched its ad-supported version of Disney+ in the US, offering a “Basic” plan with ads that will cost $7.99 per month.
Meanwhile, the ad-free skew of the streaming platform bumps up in price to $10.99 per month.
Aside from now including ads, the Disney+ Basic Plan does not allow users to download content or stream offline. The Basic Plan also does not include features such as Dolby Atmos support and GroupWatch.
Disney’s rollout of an ad-supported tier for Disney+ comes on the heels of fellow streaming service Netflix also releasing an ad-supported version earlier this year.
No word has come out yet on what the official equivalent prices will be for the service in the Philippines or when the skew will roll out in the country.
