Disney+ is testing its live-streaming capabilities in the US. This, in turn, maybe a hint for future services that they may offer. The live stream was done via a small event, the 94th Oscar Nominations
The event was also live-streamed via Disney-owned channel Hulu. Currently, no additional information was given by Disney on what they have instore for live streaming on Disney+.
“We performed a test for live streaming capabilities on Disney+ in the U.S. with this morning’s Academy Award nominations. We are pleased with the results and will continue to test as part of our ongoing and iterative approach to deliver the best user experiences to consumers,” a Disney spokesperson said.
Additionally, Disney+ seems to be testing ESPN LIVE events via a discrete sitemap.
