GCash just held its biggest iGnite Innovation Summit yet, and it’s all about going Future4ward. Held last July 8 at SMX Aura, the 2025 summit gathered 76 industry partners, seven universities, and thousands of attendees to explore how AI is reshaping fintech—and why humans still matter.

GCash CTO/COO Pebbles Sy emphasized a “human-in-the-loop” approach: AI handles the repetitive, while people drive innovation and empathy.

DICT Secretary Henry Aguda backed this up, noting the government’s full push for digital transformation via the eGov app. Undersecretary Joee Guilas added that the Philippines is positioning itself at the heart of the global digital economy.

From immersive experiences like “Shark AI” to breakout tracks on tech, trust, and regulation, iGnite 2025 wasn’t just a summit—it was a blueprint for what’s next.
