Google Maps rolls out Toll pass prices feature on Android and iOS

Google is rolling a feature in Google Maps that shows toll prices to a person’s destination even before leaving the house.

This new feature will show the estimated toll price to a specific destination which is beneficial to everyone, this happened thanks to the trusted information from local tolling authorities in the area.

Factors considered are if a person needs a toll pass or not, what day in the week, and also how much is the expected cost of the toll when a person crosses it at a given specific time.

The user will also have an option on their Google Map setting to show toll prices with or without a toll pass in many places where the price may possibly change based on the preferred payment method.

Of course, the option to avoid ALL toll roads is available, if it’s possible, the user can just select ‘Avoid tolls’ in the settings. As of now, it’s available on Android and iOS devices to around 2000 toll roads in the US, India, and Indonesia. There’s yet to be a local announcement for this but Google promises that more countries will soon to experience this.
