MediaTek Dimensity 9400 flagship SoC to launch October 9

MediaTek’s next flagship chip is on the horizon.

The Taiwanese chipmaker shared a teaser video of the upcoming chipset on Weibo. While MediaTek did not mention the name, it is expected to be the Dimensity 9400 SoC featuring an AI NPU.

Specs-wise, the new chip will utilize 1x 3.36GHz Cortex-X925; 3x 2.8GHz Cortex-X4; and 4x 2.1GHz Cortex-A725 CPU cores paired with be Arm’s Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU.

This GPU is said to be the most powerful one yet in the market, and a previous leak revealed that the Dimensity 9400’s single core performance is 30% better than its predecessor.

A previous report also claim that the vivo X200 Series will debut the chip with OPPO’s Find X8 Series to follow shortly.

MediaTek will launch the Dimensity 9400 flagship SoC on October 9.
