One UI 7 will have a system-level toggle for Super HDR content on Galaxy devices. Of course, the update is still in beta. However, it’s slated to be a nice addition for those who prefer to avoid being flashed by bright screens.

The new Super HDR toggle can be found in the advanced features section under Settings. When it’s off, the display is kept from showing the full range of colors and contrast in HDR-enabled content.

In other words, automatic adjustments are prevented to keep the screen brightness at bay across all applications. Notably, Samsung’s Super HDR uses Google Ultra’s HDR format. This means that switching it off works with third-party apps and content on other Android devices as well.
With One UI 7 still in development (second beta for the Galaxy S24 series), it’s expected to roll out to more devices next year. What do you guys think about the new Super HDR toggle? Let us know in the comment section below.
