Announced last December, OPPO finally showcased its second iteration of its Air Glass assisted reality smart glasses, the OPPO Air Glass 2, at Mobile World Congress 2023.
Coming in at a light weight of 38g, OPPO showed off some of the different use cases for the Air Glass 2.
In particular, OPPO showcased how the Air Glass 2 glasses could be used for keeping track of calendar events, using it for navigation, and utilizing it as a teleprompter for office presentations.
The Air Glass 2’s could even be modified to have different lenses and vision correction.
For us, our favorite use case of the Air Glass 2 is definitely the Speech-to-Text feature, which converts speech from another person to text that is displayed on one of the lenses (as shown below). We definitely think this is a great feature for smart glasses, especially for those who may be hard of hearing.
OPPO says that the Air Glass 2 was designed to be almost indistinguishable from regular glasses and we’re definitely excited to test them out once they’re available to the public.
