ZTE Axon 20 5G to launch in China on September 1

ZTE Mobile has recently announced the launch date for its upcoming 5G smartphone with an under-display camera, the ZTE Axon 20 5G.

The ZTE Axon 20 5G is slated to be the world’s first commercially available smartphone equipped with an under-display camera. Its specs have been seen on various certification pages, including TENAA. Listed as ZTE A2121 on the TENAA, the smartphone sports a 6.92-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2460, an integrated 32MP under-display front camera, as well as a fingerprint scanner. Most likely, the display will be developed by Visionox, one of the biggest OLED manufacturers in China.

In terms of hardware, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm 765G octa-core processor clocked at 2.4GHz. It is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

On its rear lies a quad-camera module consisting of a 64MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and two 2MP unnamed sensors which are likely to be a depth and a macro. It runs Android 10 out of the box and has 4,120mAh with wired fast charging support.

As posted on its official Weibo page, the smartphone brand will launch the ZTE Axon 20 5G in China on September 1, 2020. Stay tuned on our page for its pricing and availability.
