Sony Vaio P gets an Atom Z540 1.86GHz

Listen to article

The pocket-sized, ultralight Vaio P from Sony was also recently upgraded to include a faster 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 processor.

Two new models of the Sony Vaio P were introduced in the recent launching of their Summer 2009 laptop series.

Battery life maxes out at 3 hours while Sony added more colors — black, green, red, white and gold. Got to see a coupe of them during the launch and there were minor improvements in the keyboard but that’s it — the awkward pointing stick is still there. Dumb pricing scheme again by Sony Philippines. No wonder they are not at the top. Anung ginagawa ng mga ‘marketing geniuses’ sa sony phils? Day dreaming? lols.

Get a 13″ MacBook Pro rather than this one. Too expensive for a machine running Windows.

Wishful thinking that Sony made this model a “little” more affordable.. maybe 5-10k higher than the regular 10″ netbook price… baka madami pa bumili..

Days are gone that a laptop unit becomes smaller means higher price… (thank you asus for introducing eeepc)
