Apple announced iOS 8.1 last Friday during the introduction of the iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3, now it is available for download on your iPhone or iPad.
iOS 8.1 brings lots of improvements and bug fixes to your favorite iOS device like new features in Photos, the ability for iPhone users to send SMS and MMS to the iPad and Mac, and the option to select between 2G, 3G or LTE networks for mobile data. Take a look at the image below for the complete rundown.
The update is available via iTunes or OTA. To check via OTA just go to Settings > General > Software Update. It’s a fairly small download if you’re already on iOS 8 (86.6MB on the iPhone 5c) but if you’re upgrading from iOS 7 you might want to read this article first (How to get the 5.7GB iOS 8 without erasing anything) as you’re most likely to start with a huge download.

Touch id not working. I tried several downloading of the IOS 8.1 through iTunes and even done resetting the unit to Factory still not working. Signal strength is not stable too (is Globe really doing their homework?)
