Skype gets a makeover for better messaging

Microsoft’s Skype is rolling out a design overhaul for all of its apps, with the aim of focusing with better messaging with chat becoming to center focus.

Skype has been a to-go app for many who want easy video calls, which made it a favorite for casual individuals and professionals alike. With the new overhaul, it aims to invigorate a new youthful experience with real-time stickers, emoji, GIF support, fresher chat bubble colors, and a ‘highlights’ section that replays your contacts’ moments, similar to Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat stories.

The new Skype overhaul is now rolling out to both iOS and Android devices, and soon to the desktop apps on both Windows and macOS platforms.
