In a Thread post, Zuckerberg shared an image with caption, “Actual footage of me building Threads for web.” The said post is accessible on desktop with the domain threads.net which essentially looks identical to the mobile version.

While buttons such as “like,” “comment,” and “repost” are present, access to them is currently limited. Clicking on any of these buttons, except for the “share” button, will only prompt the site to flash a QR code for downloading the Threads app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Meta’s original press release already revealed the web interface for the platform. The main difference in the interface is the placement of the navigation bar, which is now on top.

Additionally, there is a large icon on the bottom-left for switching between Following and For You feeds.

Despite Threads’ growing user base since its launch in July, recent reports show a significant drop in its daily active users, from over 50% in its first week to 80%. With the introduction of a desktop version, Threads may have found a clever new way to keep its users engaged and active.

JM's highest stat is probably his curious ardor to anything tech—electronics and gaming in particular. He certainly heeds utmost regard to specsheet, visuals, and rule of thirds. If creativity and wit sometimes leave JM's system, watching films, anime and a good stroll for memes are his approved therapeutic claims.
