Twitter has launched Twitter Lite, a mobile web variant of Twitter’s services that loads up to 30% faster, uses up to 70% less data, and takes up less than 1MB on a mobile device.
Twitter Lite is designed for users who have limited internet connection and entry-level smartphones or tablets. It uses the device’s browser to connect to the service, meaning you don’t need to install an app which saves you storage space.
At less than 1MB, it is also quick and lite with 30% faster launch times, and can reduce data usage up to 70% with data saver mode turned on. In addition, it works just like the app version with one-tap access from your home screen, push notifications, offline access, and safe browsing.
Twitter Lite is now available at mobile.twitter.com.
