According to Akamai's Q4 2015 State of the Internet report, the Philippines had an average internet speed of 3.2Mbps, a 12% increase from the previous quarter. However, this still placed the country 107th globally and second lowest among surveyed Asia Pacific nations, just above India.

Based on a mid-2016 guide, several 2015 model year cars were available for under ₱500,000. These included the Suzuki Alto 800 Standard (₱398,000), the Geely LC 1.3 GL (₱448,000), the Toyota Wigo E MT (₱473,000), and the Kia Picanto 1.0 LX (₱485,000).

Cherry Mobile released a minimum of 38 smartphones in 2015. The year saw the expansion of their Flare and Omega lines, the introduction of new series like the MAIA line with Intel chips, and the launch of the popular budget phone, the Flare X.
