#Canon EOS R first impressions

Canon has entered a new frontier with the recent launch of their first full-frame mirrorless camera, the EOS R. Familiar design I've been using Canon DSLRs and Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras for several years now, and I can easily see where the EOS R draws its design cues from. Holding the EOS R feels just like home if you're used to Canon DSLRs. Canon, however, is known for its great camera ergonomics and this hasn't disappeared from the EOS R. Filmmaker-friendly The Canon log gamma has been a staple in EOS cinema cameras since the beginning. It's a start With the EOS R, Canon did a mix of things, both correct and outright wrong. His winning entry earned him a Canon EOS R6 Mark III paired with an RF 24-105mm IS STM lens, a major upgrade from the Canon EOS RP he used during the competition. Aside from the usual Open and Canon-exclusive categories, Canon introduced a Video Category for the first time, expanding the competition beyond still photography.
