Globe’s introduction of the iPhone Forever Plan will certainly confuse some subscribers so we’ll explain it to you as simple as possible.
The first clarification would be that the iPhone Forever promo is a completely new set of iPhone specific plans. This is on top of the existing MySuperPlan and Platinum Plans.
The basic premise of the iPhone Forever Promo is that under that plan you are able to get a new iPhone each and every year it is released with Globe at NO additional cash-out as long as you surrender your old iPhone.
With the regular MySuperPlan and Platinum Plans, you will have to wait for 2 years. With the iPhone Forever, each year there is a new iPhone you can switch your old one with the new for free. Your contract is still 24 months and is not extended.

The iPhone Forever Plan promo is only valid from November 15 to December 31, 2013.
Here are the requirement for the free switch every year.
* You will have to continue with your existing iPhone Forever each year you switch to a new free iPhone.
* For the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5S, eligible handsets for the free switch is the iPhone 4s and the iPhone 5.
* Other handsets will also be accepted (like the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 or Galaxy S3, Note 2) but you will have to make an additional cash-out.
* Maximum cash-out if you lost or don’t have your old iPhone or handset for the plan is Php12,999.
* The free switch to a new free iPhone will be in effect on your 13th to 24th month of the Forever plan.
For those people saying that Globe is hoarding LG G2 phones, well they aren’t. When they say it’s out of stock, they meant it. It just happens that Globe purchased a lot of Iphone 5S/C units to sell hoping that people would avail of it since it’s new. However, they miscalculated that people would not be that much into Iphone 5S/C. So the units that they bought would just be stored. That’s the mere purpose of this plan. It’s to get rid of those stored units.
However, there are a lot of major flaws with this plan.
1. If this were to be popular to consumers, it would have a negative impact when the new iphone unit is released next year. How sure are you that you would get to avail the new Iphone 6 on time before the Iphone 6S/C arrives. Knowing that, then you would be at a disadvantage.
2. Globe services have already been a burden to consumers. Problems with low signal or late receive/sent messages. How sure are we consumers that we would be subscribing into a worth it service? Have they already fixed these problems already?
3. What if a new gadget appears to be better than Iphone 6? How are we supposedly be able to cancel our previous subscription to this plan promo? Would it be that easy to cancel this promo? Would there be penalties to the promo if we aren’t finishing the current plan promo?
4. Lets say you accepted the Iphone 5S in this promo. What if you lost this current phone or it was stolen? Would you be able to avail the new Iphone 6 without the old unit? It only says that you would need to pay the cash out of Php 12,999. How would you be able to avail the new Iphone 6 and continue with the promo without the Iphone 5S? Would that mean you would need to pay an additional fee to avail the new Iphone 6 unit without surrendering the Iphone 5S that was stolen?
They’re a lot of things that may lead to a bad experience for consumers with this promo. The conditions were not too clear. I hope before you avail of this promo, be sure to ask a lot of information about it. You may instead be leading yourself into a bad subscription rather than a good one.

I agree. It is a bad subscription wherein Globe takes all the money and makes a subscriber feel as if you don’t have any value.
I don’t get having to pay pre-termination of 26,000 on top of the handset price + trading in my Globe-issued S4. It doesn’t make sense at all. Eh di get a new line nalang pala then just keep the S4 eh ganun din naman ang magiging cost. Parang pinaiikot lang kasi tayo. Globe doesn’t seem to value their current subscribers. I mean, you’re signing up for another 24 months contract + surrendering the phone you got, so why pay pre-termination???
if a lot of people will be subscribing to this plan, then every year it will really be difficult to avail the iphone since they won’t have to wait every 2 years to change phones
Seems interesting, I am on unli surf superplan P1,799. On the new plan, P1,999 is the closet rate for an iPhone 5s but perhaps 1GB will not be enough and might end up paying more… P2,999 is too pricey for unlidata. Any thoughts?
3k per month is very pricey already. Go with their mysuperplan or better yet, Smart’s plans.

My iPHone 4s plan is about to expire next year pa (April 9 to be exact) so if I want to get a new iPhone every year, I would have to apply for a new plan this coming NOv. 15-Dec. 31?
Yes, you can surrender your iPhone 4, add some cash out and switch to the Forever Plan to get the new iPhone 5c or 5s.
What happens to my current plan? Can I have that discontinued?
So when I apply on November, I can discontinue my current plan (iPhone 4s 1799) and then upgrade to an iPhone Forever Plan?

tanga kasi ang marketing department ng globe, kumuha ng sang katerbang iphone sa inakalang bebenta to sa masa. di man lang nag isip na may dadating pang bagong smartphone na mas maganda pa sa iphone, ayan tuloy parang tanga yung mga sales agents nila sa pag benta ng promo nila, minsan may bumisita sa office namin offering iphones na taga globe at napahiya kasi LG G2 at Note 3 ang gusto ng mga office mates ko, at ang sagot ng taga globe ay….wala pong stokcs mag iphone nalang kayo kasi blah, blah, blah….

3G, EDGE/2G is already included in that plan. You have to pay when you exceed the 1 GB limit.

So, may favoritism ang Globe? give what your customers are looking for, wag nyong ipilit ang S4 at iPhone kung G2 ang hinahanap~!

Hi pinpoint015 , may I ask which Globe center did you visit? I booked my LG G2 online, then visited Globe Megamall, was so disappointed na sasabihin nilang out of stock nag LG G2. Impossible! release G2 phones now!
Who said that they’re keeping that stock so that people will get the iphone? Why would they do that? What business would keep products to rot to make way for the other product. Then lugi Sila if ganoon even if all the iPhones were bought. Walang ngang stock eh kasi malamang in demand. Isip2x din po ano po. Peace
@LemmeExplain , if you’re asking which business would let their stocks rot to give way for other products , well I think it’s Globe. Visit globe community forum to see how many people wanting LG G2, but globe says it is out of stock, and then pushes s4 or iphone.
idk.. basta it’s just stupid for a company to hold products like that. If that’s the hottest phone then that should be pushed more. OR baka wala na talagang stocks kasi if mabenta yan dito surely mabenta din yan sa ibang bansa kaya mahirap din mag-order sa manufacturer.
@LemmeExplain i think its possible and i dont think it’s stupid… cguro madami silang stocks ng iPhone na di pa nabebenta kaya un ang pinupush nila kaya tiatago nila ung ibang phones…kasi ung iba na rin ang nagsabe na marami ang naghahanap ng LG G2 kaya pagdating ng oras na nakuha na nla ung quota para sa iPhone at inilabas na nila ang iPhone cguradong may kukuha pa rin nito.
