Might be a little late but Globe Telecom is now offering the Apple iPad 2 on My Super Plan Unli Surf Combo which is Php999 a month.

Here’s the plan pricing for the postpaid and prepaid plans.

The prepaid plans are exactly the same as the suggested retail price posted on the Apple Online Store (my guess is that these iPads are unlocked).

The postpaid plans offer a subsidized cost of up to Php10,000 for each of the iPad models. Not bad if you’re also looking for an unlimited plan. The prepaid kit doesn’t look convincing though since you can get the iPad 2 from other sources at a bit lower price.

Hi, guys! Just want to ask. What if meron na akong ipad and gusto ko lng mag, apply for that plan 999?
I tried to apply in globe online, and the set-up doesnt proceed to the next step hanggat wala pa akong pinipiling gadget…. Just want to make it sure, baka lang kasi hindi ako maintindhan ng globe.

You pay the cash-out of 21,990 sa Ipad Wifi with 3G, parang binili mo ang unit sa mas murang halaga kumpara kung bibili ka ng prepaid kit o sa kahit saan authorized Apple reseller. Mas mura na yan 21,990 kesa 28,000 – 30,000 pesos kung IPAD Wifi + 3G..

Wala nang habol ang Globe sa unit mo kasi bayad na, babayaran mo na lang P999 monthly for 2 years ang serbisyo na makakapag internet ka unlimited anytime, anywhere. Kahit saan mo dadalhin ang Ipad wifi+3g makakapag internet ka kahit saan kumpara sa Ipad Wifi na maka access ka lang sa internet kung nasa lugar ka na may wifi. Good luck! hope this helps..

para ka lang nagbabayad ng internet service sa bahay mo..

yEAH. I agree on you. worth it n po yun at mura n ang 21,500 for wifi+3g. i will get too. kc in 24months nmn sulit k kc 24hours intrnet plus mlakas and globe anywhere s PI.

Actually, That’s not such a bad price. I mean, look, you’re getting UNLIMITED INTERNET ACCESS for one month for 999. That’s WIRELESS Internet as opposed to DSL. How much is unlisurf for 30 days? Well, at 50p/day it comes to 1,500p. (if you were to register on a daily basis). I would rather go with SUN’s 799 unlimited plan though, but I’d have to pay the full price for the iPad2 3G. Globe’s price of 22,000p for a 3G is pretty good! The 999 actually goes for the internet usage. How much is the iPad2 3G in the USA? Gotta be around $629.00, no? Buying one in the USA makes sense. No stupid taxes like here in the Phils. The japanese government really sticks it to its people on taxes, just like here, but no one has the guts to stand up to them. NO ONE, so pay up suckers. You all know someone in the States… someone you’re leaching off of, so ask them.. hahahaha leachers
Conclusion: Just get a WiFi model and use your home WiFi network or get the 3G from Globe and cancel your DSL/Smartbro/whatever u use internet.

@Jung, I think you haven’t realized yet that part of that amount you quoted, you can get unlimited mobile internet on your IPAD2 for 24 months!!

first payment will be 21,990 plus 1998 (2-months deposit/advance)
and 999 on the second month payment onwards

The price is not enticing even on a postpaid because CMK is offering IPAD 2 16 GB at 21,600 Cash price. Even cheaper than Globe by 390.00

I stand corrected, the price i indicated earlier was for wifi only. Globe is cheaper than CMK coz Ipad 2 16GB with 3G and Wifi is 27,400 while that of Globe is 21,990 hence cheaper by 5,410. Sorry for the mistake.
