SmartBro WiMax Prices, Service Plans revealed

Smart is finally out with its WiMax service and posters have been spotted about the new SmartBro WiMax subscription plans.

Smart Bro WiMax is currently available in 2 plans:

SmartBro WiMax Plan 999
Up to 1 Mbps
Unlimited Usage Hours
Monthly Subscription Fee: Php999

SmartBro WiMax Plan 799
Up to 512kbps
Unlimited Hours
Monthly Subscription Fee: Php799

There’s no information on which areas or cities (an agent says it will be initially available in selected areas in Metro Manila or NCR) SmartBro WiMax will be available and how it’s going to differentiate itself from its existing SmartBro Share-It or SmartBro Fixed Wireless packages (which offers up to 2Mbps).

To get information for your area, you can call *1888 from your Smart cellphone or (02) 672.7277 on landline. You can also go to any Smart Wireless Center to inquire or subscribe.

    Ewan ko ba kung bakit sobrang bagal ng internet sa Pilipinas, kung titingnan mo ang speed sa ibang bansa… sa kanila, ang 5mbps classified as slow connection…

    smartbro canopy 2mbps – smartbro wimax 1mbps only. so yep id rather stay with canopy, minsan pa nga 3mbps connection ko jijijiji (canopy user from makati)

    i’ve been using WiMax for two months, i live in Dasma Cavite, it works just fine for me. most of the time my signal is 3 bars to four bars only, i haven’t seen it in five,

    actually, hirap talaga umasa sa connection ng mga wireless…depende sa location mo at gaano ka kalaya sa cellsite..kahit anong producto pa yan at anong telco pa yan…

    hello po..bakit po ganun ang wimax kasi kakabit lang po sakin. unang araw napakabilis tapos kinabukasan wala ng connection pwede nyo po ba masulusyunan tung problema ko thanks….

    grabe talaga buwaya ng smart na yan. napaka gulang. gusto nila mag renew ka ng another 24 months ng contract pero pagnag loko connection mo at may kelangan ng palitan sa mga parts ng antenna kelangan mo pa magbayad! bago ang contract pero luma ang mga antenna na dapat sila ang mag provide! p.i nyo smart! smart talaga sa sobrang gulang.

Sa U.S nga sabi ng Mom q parabolic antenna gamit nila ang bilis ng connection nila patas lng s binabyad nila. e2 kasing mga garapal na provider d2 takot maka-pasok ang ganong provider na gamit s U.S tyak mabu2lok sila bigla,, So kng magiging honest nmn sana kau di wla sana problema. Pinaka-mabilis lng kayo sa BILLING dpa nga end of month ajan na ang notice minsan doble pa,,mga SCAMMER,, mga HELPDESK mga tanga,,TECH mga tanga ksi pag-tinanong mo mga kasingalingan mga sinasabi d alm ang mga pinagsa2bi ang layo ng sagot?,,iisa ang sagot parang mga clone…hehehehe! So ganyan ka-bulok ang ISP ng Pinas. ISP q dati bayantel DSL in 4 yrs wla ako naging problema,, sa PLDT DSL ok din, SMART bulok,,GLOBE bulok,,DIGITEL bulok. yan pwede ng firtilizer ang mga yan. ^_^

    @sonny maningas hahah ganyan sila ka SMART!Itong plug-share it na toh may ibinigay na naman problema sa amin. Biruin mo yung bill namin dinodoble nila ang 1k a month namin nagiging 2k?! Bwiset! Ilang beses na kaming nagpupunta sa center nila tapos sasabihin baka raw di pa na-a-update yung bayad namin. Nakaka-stress na toh huh! And speaking of PLDT, meron na sila sa taguig kaya lang balita ko de-metro ang pag gamit ng PLDT internet connection unlike sa Globe and Smart na fix ang bayad heheh!

    Sa pldt kasi, bukod yung bayad ng modem at monthly tapos may tendency pang tumaas depende sa pag gamit mo ng net mo! LOL!

    3g wimax plug it… isang ip lng kasi yan.. parang computer shop isang connection pag may nag youtube taas ng ping lagger… ang sama mag babayad k s kanila kahit ang panget ng connection.. ay wala connection pala mo ang tibay… s smart share it ko kainis nag kukunin ko n pinapirma ako n kahit walng connection babayadan ko pag disconnection ko naman babayaran ko 2yrs wow tibay ang utak nila nagsasabi lng ng 22o

    @Jerome buti ka nga in 3mos. maganda ang performance ng GWiMax sa’yo eh sa amin pagkareceive pa lang anak ng parang dial-up as in dial up talaga! Kainis…

    Sa ngayon plug it share it kami mas ok pa toh kesa sa mga wimax geez kainis!

    Share ko lng po yung experience ko sa globe wimax nung first 3 months ko ok po yung speed na nakukuha always yan na 1mbps satistfy npo sana me kaya lng nung marami na pong ng pakabit ng globe wimax d2 sa amin anak ng pati ang laki ng binagsak ng speed dating 1mb ngayon 300kbps pahirapan pa. tip ko lng sa mga ng papakabit ng globe wimax kung sakaling 1mbps ang speed mo wag mong ipag yabang sa mga kapitbahay mo kc pg kumalata yun sigurado papakabit din sila hanggang dumami kayo at pg ngyari yun sigurado sasakit na ang ulo mo kaya isecreto nyo na lng ganyan po kc yung ng yari sken ng hati hati n kme sa speed na binibigay nung globe so i am planing to terminate my connection

    ganyan din sa cousin ko..ang ginawa ko tumawag ako sa Tech support, tapos inamin ko na napapasok ko yung Canopy page to access yung status nya, nakalagay dun 1Mbps Aggregate. Yung mga frontliners (tech support agents), lahat ng alibi sasabihin nila para lumabas na ganun talaga ang setup. Ginawa ko…nagbypass ako at naghanap ako ng Operations Manager and napoint out kaagad na hanggang 1Mbps lang yung connection ko. Naghintay pa sila ng set of licenses from Motorola para ma-upgrade to 2Mbps and after 2 weeks, ayun, naayos din!

    Btw, if you want to access the canopy page, just type 169.254.1.1

    mangdaraya po ang smartbro. last nov.22 nag apply po ako ng fixed canopy 2mpbs plan. tuesday dumating sila kinabitan nila ako ng 1mbps canopy download speed ko is only 700kbps. setting na ginawa nya sa QoS:

    sustained uplink/downlink rate : 300/700 kbps
    max uplink/downlink burst rate : 1500/1500 kbps

    sa friend ko na maayos ung canopy,

    sustained uplink/downlink rate : 300/1700 <<< kbps
    max uplink/downlink burst rate : 3000/3000 <<< kbps

    nakakakuha po sya ng stable na 1.5mbps download speed po. Mag-ingat po kayo sa smartfraud.

    another ooops for smart telco again. before smartbro, there’s a smart wifi. that’s the only “wifi” that you’re literally “wired” inside your house. what they meant by “wifi” by then was the signal was delivered wireless thru canopy and you have to be wired to get connected to the net. (that’s really so dumb about smart).

    and now, they are trying to use the WiMax name, which, if you scrutinize the specification of WiMax, the offered speed of the smart wimax is not even close to the specification. I should say that, this is just another strategy of the wireless provider to get you to buy another of their crappy product.

    @Brando Bandit kung bagong pakabit ka lang eh pwede mo pang isauli yan, yun sa amin kasi pinasauli ko, 1 week lang samin yung SBWimax. Kailangan lang nila ng patunay na nay history ka ng pagtawag sa customer hotline nila para ma-approbahan kang mabawi mo ulit yung ibinayad mo, dusa ka niyan Sir kapag 24mos. mong pagtiyatiyagaan yan. Yung sa amin kasi hindi ko tinantanan ng tawag at reklamo kaya ayun nakapag-refund kami worth 700+. Good luck!

    @Boy: hindi mo rin masabi porke wireless expected mo na, na walang connection? pasakit in short? di dapat ganun nagbabayad ang mga consumer ng sapat at tama tapos yung serbisyo ganun lang?…May demo ang SBWimax bago i-approve na kabitan ang isang consumer. Ang problema may tricks sila.

    Just wanna share this experienced I had in availing SBWimax. Nang may magdemo dito samin ang bilis, pati yung backlit ng device 4 to 5 kaya napahanga kami, kinabukasan ang pag-pick-up namin ng device, after namin makuha yung samin aba isang himala 3 bars na wala “no connection” when we try “google” halos 1 hr. before magflash ng tuluyan yung whole site ng google na kung tutuusin napakadali lang magload ng google..geez! TWO THUMBS DOWN! talaga ko sa SBWimax.
