You know what’s cool? Realme is kicking off the year with their new Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, and it’s got that balance of “same-same, but different.” The design? Still has the signature circular camera module with that leather-texture back panel, but now there’s a touch of premium thanks to this fluted bezel—yes, kind of like what you’d see on a fancy Rolex. Nothing too drastic, but it’s a glow-up for sure.

Underneath all that style is where things get exciting. It’s running on a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor with 12GB RAM, expandable to 24GB, because why not? Pair that with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display rocking 120Hz refresh rate, and you’re all set for buttery-smooth scrolling, gaming, or binge-watching. And yeah, Genshin Impact on max settings? Not even breaking a sweat, though you might feel the heat after 45 minutes—literally.

The cameras though? Oh, this is where Realme flexes. The 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor is sharp, the 64MP periscope lens gives you some wild zoom options, and night shots are surprisingly on point. And yep, there’s a 120x digital zoom feature—if you’re steady enough to use it.

The videos at 1080p with stabilization are decent too, but you might want to keep a gimbal handy for 4K.

Battery? 5,000mAh with 67W fast charging—quick enough to keep you moving, though it’s a step down from last year’s charging speeds. Still, you get a solid day even with gaming, and the introductory price of PHP 21,999 makes it worth checking out.

But hey, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G is just getting started. What do you think? Would you cop this, or hold out for something else?
