交通部(DOTr) 正在为轻轨交通（LRT）和地铁交通（MRT）引入无现金支付。截至撰写本文时，该措施计划于 2025 年 7 月实施。
我们此前曾报道，该措施已通过https://www.yugatech.com/go/61kyMRT-3生效，支持使用GCash/QRPh进行支付。随着这一消息的公布，看来此次变更广受好评。无论如何，此举应能使通勤更加便捷，同时简化交易流程。
将推出新的自动收费系统（AFC），允许乘客使用借记卡/信用卡支付车费。该系统还涵盖GCash和Maya等移动钱包，让通勤者无需Beep卡即可轻松通行。同样地，只需在闸机上轻触手机或银行卡即可完成支付。
交通部（DOTr）部长文斯·迪宗表示，开放式支付系统与全球现代交通技术相一致。此举旨在提升菲律宾通勤者使用铁路网络的便利性与效率。
为确保平稳过渡，交通部正与运输运营商及金融服务提供商合作。其合作伙伴关系将包括在全面实施前开展试点测试和公众宣传活动。
重申，无现金支付推广的第一阶段将于下个月启动。届时，读者应预期在主要轻轨（LRT）和地铁（MRT）车站完成闸机安装。
The Singapore MTR system, one of the best railway system in the world is using the ” Beep system. They still use loading of the cards in every station. It is very efficient. Not every commuter has debit/ credit card. Besides these cards doesnot provide for Senior Citizen’s discount.
What happens to unexpired beep cards
Is the discount for seniors automatic with the system?
How about the discount for seniors? Will the discount be automatic with this new system?
Why not use NFC enabled phones like in Japan?
This is gonna be bad for those people don’t have access for DEBIT AND CREDIT CARD EVEN PHONE DOESN’T HAVE GCASH OF PHONE AND THE HELL??? ARE DOTr SAYING WE NEED to buy need phone or device have NFC THIS IS SO RIDICULOUSLY AND WORTHLESS FOR PEOPLE DON’T HAVE ACCESS IN THE SERVICE OF BANKING AND ONLINE WALLET LIKE LOW LIVING PEOPLE.
