A reader emails in and points to a new site he accidentally stumbled while mis-typing Freindster instead of Friendster (a popular social networking site in the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia).
For sometime now, readers have been complaining that their comments are being accidentally flagged by Akismet as spam. Despite repeated un-flagging, their next comment still hits the spam bin. The false positives are getting really annoying (and time consuming too).

If you just got a new domain, launched a blog and wanted to monetize it with AdSense, you can’t do it on the first 5 days. That’s according to an insider information that says Google will stop monetizing all domains if they are less than five days old.

Filipina internet celebrity Christine “Happy Slip” Gambito is in the Philippines (and may I add, also the 2007 Philippine Blog Awards winner for Best Podcast).
