Red Fox WizBook laptops

Red Fox and AMD teamed up to develop their own Eee PC competitor and launched the WizBook this week with a much disappointing 400MHz AMD Geode processor. Hate to say the obvious but this is most certainly going to be a bust.

New Globe Visibility Plans: 799, 999 and 1499

Results: AVG is Most Popular Anti-Virus

According to our recent poll on antivirus, AVG came on top of the heap followed by Nod32 and Avast. From over 220 respondents, AVG was actively used by just over 25%. See chart after the jump.

Hong Kong Adsense Publishers to get EFT

It’s getting closer to the Philippines now. Inside Adsense just announced that Hong Kong and Hungary will be available to receive their AdSense payments via Electronic Fund Transfer (ETF). EFT directly deposits your AdSense earnings into your bank account, in your local currency, to greatly speed up and simplify the payment process.

Interview: Online Community Manager at Yahoo! Philippines

When official word came out that Yahoo! Philippines has finally selected the person to be its Online Community Manager, I hooked up with Jonas de los Reyes to get an interview. The leak came in via LinkedIn (you get alerts when people change jobs and update their profile). Jonas was Yehey’s eCommerce Manager so his new position over at Yahoo looks like a perfect fit.

Philippines ranked #8 on Worldwide Porn Revenues

With about $1 billion in annual revenues, the Philippines is tied at No. 8 with Canada and Taiwan for the largest revenues from pornography in 2006. This is according to the Internet Pornography Statistics report by Jerry Ropelato of Top Ten Reviews. For a poor 3rd 2nd world country, that’s something, huh?

All the more we should be convinced that high-tech innovations can be developed via low-tech means. CURE’s U Mobile Ad-Supported Service Not Entirely Free
