Looks like 8 megapixel is becoming the battleground for newer mobile phones. We’ve yet to see the 8MP Samsung Innov8 to hit store shelves and here’s yet another one coming out of Samsung’s door — Pixon M8800.

The other night, I bumped into Marc & Sharm while driving along EDSA. They invited me to follow them home for a couple round of drinks. It was almost midnight and since I’m not familiar with their area in Mandaluyong, I thought I’d record our route with the GPS on my phone.
The first Astone UMPC was first seen on store shelves back in April. No new updates after that. apparently, they’ve been silently building their own nettop PC too.
Inching really close to the Php9,995 Blue H1 UMPC, the Neo Explore X1 gets some price cuts too — now down to Php11,998 from the original Php16,999.
Earlier this month, we discovered the MSI Wind PC as the desktop version of the popular netbooks. The Atom-based mini desktop PC is MSI’s answer to the expensive Asus Eee Box.
Just discovered a new netbook from Blue Digital at one of the shelves of a PC Corner store this afternoon — a 10-inch Blue Helium T31.
Just this week alone, two iPhone 3G owners traded out their Apple-flavored phones in favor of other smart phones. Why? Reality sinked in — the iPhone is just not for them.
Until now, I’m not sure what that Php200 charges most banks deduct from Paypal withdrawals. That’s on top of the Php50 for withdrawals less than Php7,000. And we all thought any amount beyond that would be free of charge.

Canon organized a whole-day affair to celebrate the Philippine release of over 30 products in their line, including the much awaited EOS 5D, 50D and 1000D.
I earlier hinted that the Intel Atom CPU could very well power a mobile phone. I didn’t realize one phone manufacturer has already done it. OpenPeak today announced the OpenFrame IP Media Phone that runs on an Intel Atom processor.

Yesterday, during a media briefing for Norton/Symantec, I was chatting with several tech journalists about the flurry of high-caliber phones that came out this 3rd quarter when I spotted the recently released 8-megapixel Samsung Innov8.
T-Mobile today unveiled the G1, the HTC Dream phone based on the Google Android platform. It’s basically an HTC phone so T-Mobile’s $179 + 2 year contract price may hint of a possible unlock price when it goes global.
Just this week, SM Mall of Asia started installing parking monitors on its multi-level parking section. The 3rd floor parking level is still closed for the renovation and i took pictures of the finished job on the 4th floor.
