I was also able to play with a demo unit of the Acer Liquid last night at the PC Show and they were selling the unit for and equivalent of Php21,200 (SG$640.93) after taxes.

The phone looks a bit wide but does not use up all the real estate for the screen (so you only get 3.5″) — it gives an impression of a huge screen because of the black bezel.
There are no physical buttons here and the front controls are provided by a touch panel (similar to the implementation of the Nexus One). There 4 controls include — Home, Search, Back and Menu — but there’s also no haptic feedback to help you get a good feel of those touch controls.
The device responds well and feels snappy and though the Android OS is old (v1.6 Donut), Acer added a little UI improvements with a carousel-like display of media files/web pages on both ends of the 3-panel UI. It’s a nice-looking device at first from afar but once you hold it, the plastic construction gives a cheap feel to it.

personally,i love this fon coz there’s a lot of thing u will enjoyed most.like,u’ll almost using a pc on this gadget.reading mails is quite easilly and all those usually stuff u like to a fon is all here.as if u can buy all ur desire in one fon at a time,imposible!not unless,u read all the specs before purchasing it!so y blaming on the fon if all the specs they listed is true!!!blame it on your self! I thought Samsung spica uses a Resistive screen which is miles inferior to the Capacitive screen in Liquid.
This should be cheaper than Samsung Spica, otherwise it’s no good. Looks a fat version of the iPhone.

The only down side to this Android device is the processor. It’s running on a 768Mhz processor compared to the Samsung Galaxy i5700 which is a lot cheaper (P14,000) and running on a 800Mhz Processor.
And I am sure the price of the Acer Liquid will be a few thousand pesos higher in the Philippines compared to the Singapore price.
