e-Mobile’s Konka T808 TV Phone

Saw this one at one of the stores last night. Was surprised Konka is into mobile phones as well and this T808 TV phone could have been launched months earlier.

3.0″ VGA screen
Dual active SIM
GPRS
Handwriting recognition
FM Radio
2MP camera
dual Bluetooth
Micro-SD Card Slot

My guess is that the TV is just analog and OTA, not the one used by Smart for myTV which is digital. Still, you get ABS-CBN and GMA 7 for free on this phone. This model is priced at Php8,500 which could attract people looking into dual SIM phones.

This is a China Phone it was launched years ago, there are also cloned nokia phones like n96, n95 etc. Some of these phones are touch screen and has very big icons. These are fake phones from China and are not of a good quality. Beware of buying these phones because i heard from a source that sometimes it explodes when over charged.

But, hey, it’s dual SIM capable! O___O
Pretty attractive for those with more than one SIM card. And the TV function is great.

I’ll wait for Brainiac to feature that. Nevertheless why not try something different? Put a China Phone in a microwave.

I already tried it. I put my iphone inside the microwave oven for 3 minutes. It became a popcorn.

hay naku…. why would you put your phone in a microwave? lame…
konka is a electronics brand from china… doesn’t necessarily mean na clone o fake… i don’t know about you guys… pero mukhang iilang brands lang ang alam nyo…

      try visiting their site…
      http://www.konka.com.hk/

from tv(i had one and is in good condition still -compared to sony na madaling masira!)
mobile, fridge, washing machines, air conditioning, and other small appliances… meron dito at legitimate company ang konka…

Konka product mas matibay pa kaysa Samsung and LG, since Konka chips and other electronics micro parts gawa mismo ng Konka. Unlike Samasung, LG, Nokia and Sony Erricsons nag-outsource lang din sa China ng mga parts nila and put it together in their manufacturing plant in China. sO YUNG MGA IPINAGMAMALAKI NINYONG BRANDED NA PHONES NIYO made in China yan. Yes Konka is a big name in China. Kung bibili kayo ng made in China products make it sure na existing and established yung company na yan sa China. Kaya kayo siguro napepeke because of your ignorant, peace…

kkbili lng nmin ng T808 for my wife.

tama po ung sabi nung isang nag-comment na ung mga branded phones eh may mga outsourced parts from china and most of them are actually assembled in china. check nyo po ung mga battery na kadalasan eh MADE IN CHINA ang nakasulat…

I’m still contemplating in buying konka T808 cellphone. Does it really have 2MP camera or just 1.3MP? I’ve seen an article that said it’s only 1.3MP. though the main reason im buying this is it’s dual SIM capability, i want to make sure that I wouldn’t have to go after the support and warranty of the product because let’s face it, their warranty and repair service could be a crap. Though i don’t want to find that out myself, having the cellphone registered with NTC does not really guarantee the quality of konka’s products and services.

What about the features? does it really work as a PDA? can we make use of the full functionality of e-books as one of it’s features? what Operating System does it use?

T808 is being used as an analog TV and at the same time as a display for User Graphical Interface where we see the text, images, videos and other graphical contents. Can someone give the rationale why the video would pixelize. Hopefully, this is not the down side of this cellphone even the price is reasonable.

I found another URL for Edu Manzano’s online comment at Manila bulletin website:
