This one arrived in the mail this morning — a shiny 8GB Red Zune. Been wanting to have one of these babies for the longest time now.

Ford Sync by Microsoft Auto

We all know Microsoft enters into almost every market imaginable but I didn’t know they’re into the auto industry as well. Ford and Microsoft partnered to produce the ultimate in-car entertainment and communications system called Ford Sync. Just saw a demo of this over at the dl.tv podcast covering the CES.

Microsoft Zune gets cloned already?

Chinese electronic manufacturer, Oriphe, must have seen the the leaked pictures of Microsoft Zune last July. Just look at their new media player called the MPF2110.

* Plays MP3, WMA, WAV audio
* Plays AMW, MTV, MPEG, AVI video
* JPEG photo support, Voice recorder, FM tuner w/ recording, Lyrics

Here’s their product page. Could they be the same people who created the fake iPod Nanos?

The original Zune (originally came out as the Toshiba GigaBeat) is hard drive based as against the flash disk of the MPF2110 knock-off.
