Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 Windows 7 Tablet

Fujitsu’s very own tablet PC, the Stylistic Q550, is going to ship with a suggested retail price of about $800 — a little on the expensive side considering the specs are pretty much netbook-like.

Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 Slate PC
10.1″ display capacitive multi-touch screen
Intel Atom Oak Trail
2GB DDR3 RAM
30GB/62GB SSD
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 3.0
USB 2.0 port
HDMI port
3G/HSDPA (optional)
GPS (optional)
Windows 7 Professional

It will be shown at CeBIT in Germany. The internal battery is removable and there’s an option to use a 2-cell or 4-cell Lithium Ion pack. Fujitsu is targeting enterprise customers so they’ve added features like a fingerprint reader and SmartCard reader. Don’t know if that’s enough to justify the steep price tag though.

The 30GB/62GB SSD may be small but the processing speed is at least 3 times faster for tasks & programs as well as start up & boot time.

This is a enterprise/business model with all the security features, a casual lifestyle toy like IPAD.

I wonder if you could use this as an artist’s tablet. Mr. Yuga do you think it’s possible to install Photoshop in this device? Assuming you can install programs because it IS running Windows 7.

I’m looking for an alternative for a Wacom Cintiq.

yeah I agree.. also, how ironic it is that its name coined the term stylistic but I see no style in it. Archos is still the best
