Feature This: iHealth HS5 WiFi Body Analysis Scale

I got a WiThings WiFi Scale in HongKong back in August and been using it to monitor my progress for several months each time I do my routine (swim, bike, run) so I was glad to discover there’s another body analysis scale that I can try.

The iHealth HS5 has been available locally for a couple of months now and unlike your typical weighing scale, this one can do so much more.

The HS5 can determine different characteristics of your body composition — like body weight, body fat, lean mass, muscle mass, bone mass, body water, daily calorie intake (DCI), and visceral fat rating. It uses the four metal sensors on the scale to detect all of these composition.

The four electronic metal sensors (shown in photo above) are able to detect electrical current in your body to determine some of the essential composition. For most people, these figures might not matter a lot but a few people who frequents the gym or exercise often might want to know their body fat percentage aside from just the nominal weight.

The iHealth HS5 also comes with a dedicated iPhone or Android app (search: iHealth MyVitals) that connects to the body scale via the local WiFi network. Data can then be stored on the app so you can monitor your progress as you move along.

The iHealth HS5 retails for Php6,950 in retail stores and online.
