NVIDIA Studio & RTX Studio: The System for Creators

There are plenty of NVIDIA-powered laptops in the market, and they come in different calibers to satisfy different kinds of users. Some are for casual use or productivity, while others are for gaming. Then there are some aimed at users with demanding workloads that involve 8K video, real-time ray tracing, and AI-assisted features. This is where NVIDIA Studio and RTX Studio systems come in. What makes it the system for creators? Let’s find out.

NVIDIA Studio

NVIDIA Studio is the company’s new platform that combines the power of hardware and software to boost the performance of the creator’s applications, which includes 3D modeling, video editing, photography, and broadcasting, to name a few.
It will enable creators to render 3D visuals 10x faster, edit 8K video in real-time, enhance photos with AI 5x faster, and broadcast 35% more FPS with higher quality GPU encoding.

NVIDIA Studio Drivers

Bridging the system and the platform is the NVIDIA Studio Driver. Its a free software download specifically designed for creatives that connect the operating system and GPU to select creative applications. Syncing together adds support and unlocks performance boosts and sometimes new features in creative apps, providing artists, creators, and 3D developers the best performance and reliability.

The NVIDIA Studio Drivers are compatible with GeForce GTX 10-series, GeForce RTX 20-series, GeForce GTX 16-series, TITAN V, TITAN RTX, and all Quadro products released since 2012.
Compared to Game Ready Drivers (GRD), which are designed to improve the user’s game performance, NVIDIA Studio Drivers are designed to improve creative workflows, including video editing, animation, photography, graphic design, and live-streaming.

If you’re a creator and a gamer at the same time, there’s no need to worry. Although you can only install one driver at a time, NVIDIA made it easy to switch between GRD and NVIDIA Studio Drivers through a toggle that can be accessed within the GeForce Experience application.

NVIDIA RTX Studio products

To harness the power of NVIDIA Studio and the NVIDIA Studio Drivers are NVIDIA RTX Studio products. These are high-performance systems that use the company’s powerful NVIDIA GeForce and Quadro RTX GPUs to run the applications mentioned earlier as well as demanding hardware like top-spec, high-res, color-accurate displays. Check out the base specifications required for an RTX Studio system:

GPU: GeForce RTX 2060, TITAN RTX, Quadro RTX 3000, or higher
CPU: Intel Core i7 (H Series), equivalent or higher
RAM: 16GB or more
SSD: 512GB or more
Display: 1080p up to 4K HDR

In a nutshell, NVIDIA RTX Studio systems are powerful machines designed for creatives and their demanding applications like Chaos V-Ray 5, Corel Painter 2021, Adobe Premiere Pro 14.2, Adobe Substance Alchemist, and Blender 2.83, to name a few.

NVIDIA recommends RTX GPUs to allow creators to take advantage of features such as:

• Real-time Ray Tracing – Hardware-accelerated ray tracing allows for faster, higher-quality renders with stunning visuals. NVIDIA RTX GPUs are armed with dedicated ray-tracing processors called RT Cores that accelerate the computation of how light travels in 3D environments. Ray tracing allows you to design photorealistic digital assets and animations.

• AI for Content Creation – Create better content, faster with AI-enhanced capabilities such as resolution scaling, denoising, and video re-timing. NVIDIA RTX GPUs feature new Tensor Cores, processors that accelerate AI, providing up to 500 trillion tensor operations per second to dramatically speed-up AI-enhanced features.

• Video and Image Processing – NVIDIA RTX GPUs feature an enhanced video encoder that improves H.264 and H.265 encoding speed by up to 25% over prior generation GPUs. This means higher quality livestreams and faster video renders for content creators. And with up to 4,608 CUDA Cores in NVIDIA RTX GPUs, GPU-accelerated image processing effects such as color correction, sharpening, and upsampling in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and other creative apps will run faster.

Where to get RTX Studio products?
