Huawei Mate 10 Event Roundup
Huawei‘s newest smartphones are revealed in great fashion last night (Manila Time) in Munich, Germany, and here’s a quick recap of what you might have missed from the events leading to the unveiling of the Mate 10 series.
Before everything else, the new chipset powering these new devices was revealed more than a month back in IFA 2017 nearby in Berlin. Huawei is proud of its new Kirin 970 chip — it’s the first to offer a dedicated Neural network Processing Unit (NPU) for all things related to Artificial Intelligence.
Fast forward to last night, and we saw Huawei standing tall with three different smartphones, all of these bear the same chips. All of these bear fourth-generation dual rear cameras Leica Sumillion lenses at an unprecedented f/1.6 aperture, and these are the first phones to carry an LTE Cat.18 modem capable of up to 1.2Gbps transmission.
First off is the Mate 10 packed with splash resistance and a 5.9-inch display with 2K resolution.
Next up is Huawei’s Mate 10 Pro bearing more water resistance, along with a front and back glass design and an 18:9 Fullview display.
Finally, we have a variant of the Mate 10 Pro clothed in Porsche design, touting higher RAM and internal storage hardware.
