Samsung’s upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S8, is yet to be officially revealed, yet details about the device have already started to surface.

Powering the device is either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or a Samsung Exynos chipset depending on the region, both manufactured using the 10-nanometer fabrication processes. The processors will be coupled with 4GB RAM and a starting storage of 64GB which can be expanded via microSD card slot up to 256GB.

Other features include a 12MP dual-pixel rear camera, 8MP front camera, iris scanner, USB-C, and a fingerprint scanner relocated at the back as Samsung has dropped the physical home button.

The Galaxy S8 is more likely to launch with Android Nougat but with unique features called Samsung DeX which allows users to connect it to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse via HDMI, and Samsung’s digital assistant called Bixby.

Venture Beat has also detailed the pricing and availability of the Galaxy S8. Samsung will most likely skip this year’s MWC in Barcelona and opted to launch it in New York on March 29. It’ll cost 799 Euros for the 5.8-inch model and 899 Euros for the 6.2-inch and is expected to go on sale on April 21.

At this point, the Galaxy S8 looks like it’s posed to outshine its predecessor as well as its competitors. We’ll know soon enough after a few months when it officially launches.
