9 Xiaomi phones will no longer receive updates

Xiaomi has just updated its end-of-support (EOS) product list 19 , with 9 phones receiving the boot in terms of software support.

Originally reported by Gizchina, this means that these phones will no longer be supported by Xiaomi and will stop receiving software or security updates from the manufacturer.

In particular, these phones are:

  • Redmi Note 9 (ID)
  • Redmi 9 (CN)
  • Redmi 9A (GLOBAL)
  • Redmi 10X 4G (CN)
  • Redmi Note 9 (GLOBAL)
  • Redmi Note 9 (EEA)
  • Redmi 10X Pro (CN)
  • Redmi K30i 5G (CN)
  • POCO F2 Pro (GLOBAL)

While no longer receiving major software updates is a downside, the loss of security updates will be the bigger loss here as manufacturers continue to update security patches to make sure that phones are safe and secure.
